Minnesota Vacation 2020

Last week we went to Cotton Lake in Minnesota. We rented a cabin with its own path to the lake, a little beach, dock and a canoe! We spent lots of time fishing, canoeing, reading books, playing chess and Sleeping Queens, playing in the sand at the local beach, drinking lemonade and eating oreos. It was so nice to have a little break from Liberty and our house. Here are lots of pictures!

Our cabin had a cool swing right by the water that Henry loved. 

We attempted a hike at Tamarac Wildlife Refuge near our cabin. We walked about 20 feet before we were attacked by killer mosquitoes! And we all had bug spray on. There were NO mosquitoes at our cabin.

Jack caught so many fish. There was an island in the middle of our lake that you can see behind him.

Nathan got up early every morning and fished about 2 hours by himself in the canoe. He needed to take a picture to prove how big this fish was!

The beach in Detroit Lakes had the sand, then a sidewalk and then grass that was shaded with trees. It was nice to sit in the shade while the boys played..

After we walked across the headwaters of the Mississippi River.
