Movie night for Jack's treasure he earned for filling up his puffball jar. He picked Cars and made the seating arrangement himself.
Today we went on a tour of Chips Chocolate Factory at Crown Center with MOPS. The boys loved it! They got to watch the fudge, and all sorts of other chocolate treats, being made. But the best part was all the samples! They got to use their finger to scoop fudge off the scraper thing they used to make it, then got samples on a spoon. Then they brought out the melted chocolate so they got to taste that on their spoon. Next, they got to open their mouths and have the chocolate poured onto their tongues. Then came chocolate dipped marshmallows on a stick (Jack ate two of those). Then they got to choose from the goodies on the tray. Henry chose a blob of chocolate with M&Ms in it and chocolate covered fudge. Jack chose a chocolate covered marshmallow (#3!), fudge and a chocolate covered Oreo. And to top it off, they got a goodie bag to take home with a big chocolate covered pretzel and another piece of fudge.
Time to end this post, just had an interruption from a certain 2-year-old not taking his nap, but instead climbing out of his crib and coming down the stairs saying, "It's okay Mommy." Today is the third day this week he hasn't napped. It's been a long week, as Jack has a cold and is in a bad mood pretty much all of the time because he doesn't feel good, unless he's getting samples at the chocolate factory. Only 2 1/2 more hours until Nathan gets home.
