We had a great Easter. We had really been talking about Easter for about two weeks using our Resurrection eggs. But the real fun started, of course, when egg hunts began. On Saturday we went to the egg hunt at church, which was lots of fun. First we had homemade cinnamon rolls and Henry got a bunny painted on his cheek. Jack refused since the last time he got his face painted soap got in his eyes when we washed it off. Then Henry discovered the jelly beans in the centerpieces and stuffed as many in his mouth as he could. And then the Easter Bunny came.
Next it was time to hunt eggs. We walked up the street a couple of blocks to the William Jewell campus and the hunting began. They were both happy with the eggs they found. Saturday evening we tried making Resurrection rolls, which are crescent rolls with a marshmallow dipped in butter and then cinnamon sugar in the inside. The marshmallow melts and the "tomb" is empty. Well our marshmallows didn't disappear, they just melted all over the tray and led to comments like, "Jesus melted."
Sunday morning we woke up and did Easter baskets and went to church. After church they got to eat the rest of their chocolate Easter bunnies and then we went to a Easter get together at our good friends' house later in the afternoon.
